Where chips come from, where they go, and what happens when you run out.
Chips are the whole economy. Your balance follows you across every server and both ways of playing — there is not a separate stack per server. They are play money and have no value outside Chipsy.
There are two places chips sit: your balance, which is yours, and your stack, which is what you carried to a table. Sitting down moves chips from one to the other. Leaving moves what is left back.
/reward in Discord, or the reward card on your You page. It pays 25,000 chips and then goes on a cooldown of 24 hours. Both numbers are improved by upgrades — see Levels and upgrades.
Claiming on consecutive days builds a streak, and the streak adds to what the reward pays: 10.0% more for each day past the first, stopping at day 7.
| Streak | Reward is multiplied by |
|---|---|
| 1 day | 1.0 |
| 2 days | 1.1 |
| 3 days | 1.2 |
| 4 days | 1.3 |
| 5 days | 1.4 |
| 6 days | 1.5 |
| 7 days or more | 1.6 |
Miss a day and the streak goes back to one: it counts consecutive days, with nothing forgiven. Days are counted in a fixed timezone (UTC), not in yours, so the boundary falls at the same moment for everybody.
Gold is a second, much rarer currency. You pick it up by playing: 1.0% on any hand you take part in, and 3.0% on a hand you win. It is 1 gold at a time.
Gold buys exactly two things: the Win Probability Insight upgrade, and — when you are out of chips — skipping the wait on the comeback stake. Every table pays it on the same terms: a settled spin at roulette counts as a hand, the same as one at blackjack or hold’em.
If you have nothing left, open /profile and use Get back in. It hands you 400 chips, enough for a seat at the cheapest standing table.
Three things are true about it, and they are the point of it:
Losing your last chips at a table does not end your session. Blackjack and hold’em offer a rebuy: the table pauses, you get a window to put more chips on the seat, and play carries on. That window starts at 2 minutes at blackjack and 1 minute at hold’em.
A server can turn rebuys off entirely, or allow exactly one per player per session. If you let the window pass, you leave the table and your remaining chips — if any — go back to your balance.
You choose how much to carry to a table, within the table’s range. The range is tied to the table’s minimum bet: a table opened in Discord asks for between 8 and 100 times the minimum, so a table with a minimum of 50 starts at 400. Standing tables and browser tables use their own range, and the seat form will not let you send an amount the table would refuse.
Cashing out is just leaving. Press Leave and your stack goes back to your balance; the table tells you what the sitting was worth. Every one of these movements is recorded, and your You page shows the running statement.
